Experience the joy of storytelling and the wonders of nature with Kara Griffin's collection of captivating children's books, featuring adventures with plovers and other local wildlife

Born and raised in beautiful Prince Edward Island, surrounded by nature and animals, Kara grew up in a small rural community on the North Shore.

She comes from a large family of makers and creators, who celebrate little things and find wonder in the world all around them.

She brings her passion for well-being and the healing arts to her writing.  With a graduate degree in community psychology, Kara has spent most of her career in health, including ten years in health research. She is also a certified yoga teacher.

Following her heart’s calling to write children’s books, Kara’s creative stories are inspired by her love for the earth and animals. They capture both the beauty and the struggle of our planet and the magnificent beings with whom we share this home. Through the magic of stories, she hopes readers fall in love with the natural world and it inspires positive action.

Kara lives by the sea with her dear cat, Amelia. They enjoy breathing in the salt air and birdwatching.
